The temperature of the dew - point in January, February, and March respectively was and O°'9, above the average of the preceding 22 years. The pressure of the atmosphere was in defect in January and March, and in excess in February. The fall of rain in the south of England in January was somewhat in defect, a little over its average about London, and very much in excess in the north. All over the country February and March were remarkably fine and mild.
