The operation, how ever, has so very rarely been performed for recurrent carcinoma after removal of the breast, and involves such different questions, that I venture to bring the following case under the notice of the Fellows. S. T aged 53, single, a nurse, was admitted to St. George's Hospital in December, 1894. For about two years she had noticed in the left breast a lump which gradually increased and was painless.
