She earned her B.S. degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, taught at the Alabama State School for Deaf in Talladega, married a minister, and worked side-by-side with her beloved Al for forty-five years until his illness forced him to retire. She sings, plays the piano for church and a local care center, and leads a weekly Bible study in her home in Spring City, Tennessee. Lois is learning to cope with being a widow.
