Bingham had to resign from the Foreign Service. Sixty years later, the State Department called Bingham's action "constructive dissent". Also about his wife and their eleven children, it tells of the long, successful drive by the author for the U.S. Postal Service to issue a stamp("Distinguished American Diplomats") in his father's honor in 2006.
