Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ground moving target tracking by airborne radar provides situational awareness of vehicle movements in a supervised region. This thesis presents a complete and unified treatment of ground target tracking by airborne radar from radar raw data to the display of tracks. Tracking performance is improved by a model for the accuracy of angle measurements. All results are validated by experimental radar data. Robert Kohlleppel graduated in electrical engineering and information sciences from Ruhr Universität Bochum, Germany in 2007. From 2005 to 2006 he completed part of his studies at ENSEEIHT, Toulouse, France. Since 2008 he has been with the department Array based Radar Imaging (ARB) of Fraunhofer FHR.
