Book excerpt: This report identifies major street improvements proposed for Marion County, Indiana, and addresses forecasted traffic demand needs to the year 2000. In addition to identifying proposed improvements, the Thoroughfare Plan prescribes recommended standards and element dimensions for each street segment on the thoroughfare system. Tables contain two sets of design standards, an ultimate and interim set. The interim set describes the minimum allowable design standards and is applied only in cases where application of the ultimate set is prohibitive.
