Book excerpt: "The purpose of this study was to analyze trip patterns and travel charactersistics for the section of U.S. Route 61 from south of LaGrange to north of Canton in northeast Missouri. In addition, the study seeks to determine a basis for estimating design traffic for any proposed improvements on U.S. Route 61 which may be under consideration in the study area. Two interview stations were operated one day each to obtain trip information from vehicle drivers passing through the stations.
